Democratic Society Congress (DTK) Women's Council stated that they will be putting up "Democratic Solution Tents" in Dersim, Şırnak (Şırnex) and Hakkari as of tomorrow as a part of the ongoing process of talks between the Turkish state and Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan in search of a democratic solution to the Kurdish question. The council said the aim of their action was to prevent any probable provocations, attacks and operations targeting the Kurdish guerrillas withdrawing across Turkish borders.

DTK Women's Council pointed out that the legal and constitutional amendments necessary for a democratic solution needed to be performed as soon as possible to make sure that the ongoing process makes a healthy progress.

The Council called attention to the role of women in a democratic struggle and called on all Kurdish people and democratic community to display sensitivity towards the process and to enhance the democratic liberation movement.
