The Basque parties EH Bildu and EH Bai expressed their condemnation of the Paris massacre and reiterated their solidarity with the Kurdish people.

The message said: "EH Bildu and EH Bai stand in solidarity with the Kurdish community in Paris and around the world. We send our condolences to the families of the deceased and our support to the injured.

We cannot forget that this racist attack occurred almost 10 years after the murder of the three Kurdish activists in Paris, on 9 January 2013. We ask for the clarification of these attacks and the complete investigation of the events that occurred on Friday.

What happened today in Paris should make us aware of the danger posed by the extreme right. Once again, EH Bildu and EH Bai want to denounce racism and xenophobia and show their total support for the Kurdish people."
