Out of 14 people who were detained as result of house raids in Hizan district of Bitlis yesterday, 11 have been remanded in custody.

Two of the detainees were released after being referred to Bitlis police headquarters while the rest 12 were referred to Bitlis Courthouse. One was released after bearing testimony to the public prosecutor while the other 11 were referred to a court, demanded to be arrested.

The 11 were remanded in custody and sent to Bitlis E Type Prison, accused of joining 6-8 October's demos in solidarity with Kobanê, and spreading propaganda for a terrorist organization.

On the other hand, Kutbettin Demir, who had been taken into custody for the same reason in Aşağı Argt (Pêt) village in Muradiye district of Van yesterday, has also been arrested and sent to Van F Type Closed Prison for allegedly spreading propaganda for a terrorist organization.
