Entry and exit to 30 cities banned for an extra 15 days

The Turkish Ministry of Internal Affairs extended the restrictions on entry and exit to Zonguldak and another 30 metropolitan cities for another 15 days, as part of the measures taken to counter the coronavirus pandemic.

The Turkish Ministry of Internal Affairs had already announced a new 48-hour lockdown for the second weekend and today announced the extension of the entry and exit ban for an extra 15 days.

The Ministry sent a circular titled 'City Entry, Exit Measures' to the 81 Provincial Governorships (Adana, Ankara, Antalya, Aydın, Balıkesir, Bursa, Denizli, Amed, Erzurum, Eskişehir, Antep, Hatay, Istanbul, Izmir, Maras, Kayseri, Kocaeli, Konya, Malatya, Manisa, Mardin, Mersin, Mugla, Ordu, Sakarya, Samsun, Urfa, Tekirdag, Trabzon, Van and Zonguldak) imposing a ban on entry and exit via land, air and sea (public transportation vehicle).

The ban will begin tonight at 00:00.
