EP United Left members in solidarity with Guven

European Parliament United Left members started an action in solidarity with Leyla Guven and to uphold her demands.

Solidarity actions continue to spread in support of Leyla Guven, who has been on a hunger strike for almost 100 days to protest the isolation imposed upon Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Ocalan and to demand Ocalan's health, safety and freedom, and other hunger strikers.

The European Parliament (EP) United Left Group passed a decree to uphold Leyla Guven and her demands.

The Group's members will publish photographs on their websites and the group's sites with them holding banners stating solidarity with Guven and her demands.

The action was started by EP United Left Chairperson Gaby Zimmer and Sinn Fein MEP Martina Anterson.
