Erdoğan protested in the US: Thief, Murderer, Dictator

Turkish President Erdoğan visited Washington D.C. to attend the Nuclear Security Summit. Erdoğan was greeted by his own Foreign Minister and was protested in front of the hotel he is staying in.

Turkish President Erdoğan visited Washington D.C. to attend the Nuclear Security Summit. No US officials were present to greet Erdoğan at the airport. Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and Turkey’s Washington Ambassador Serdar Kılıç greeted Erdoğan.

A group waiting in front of Erdoğan’s hotel in Washington D.C. held a protest with slogans of “Thief, murderer, dictator”.

Meanwhile, the White House declared Obama would not be having an official meeting with Erdoğan. A White House statement declares there may be an “informal discussion” between the two presidents.

Meanwhile, as Erdoğan was crossing the Atlantic, Pentagon ordered family members (close to 770 people) of the soldiers at İncirlik and two other bases in Turkey to leave the country.
