Erol Aydemir has reached day 26 of his hunger strike in Rome

Aydemir has joined the hunger strike resistance led by HDP Hakkari MP Leyla Güven demanding the end of isolation against Öcalan.

Kurdish hunger striker Erol Aydemir has reached day 26 of his hunger strike in Rome.

Aydemir has joined the hunger strike resistance led by HDP Hakkari MP Leyla Güven demanding the end of isolation against Öcalan.

Visitors continue to come and offer their support and solidarity to Aydemir, who on Sunday received also a visit from some family members.

Aydemir family said: “We are proud of the resistance that Erol has joined. Isolation will be lifted and Leader Apo will regain his freedom.”

An Italian family who named their 3-months old baby girl Leyla, to honour Leyla Güven, also visited Aydemir who spoke at a conference organised by some civil society organisation.

In Rome, a new group took over the solidarity hunger strike.
