Syrian state television reported that the mission of evacuation from Aleppo has been suspended on grounds that armed 'rebels' have violated the agreement.

Russia announced earlier that 6,400 people had been evacuated from eastern Aleppo during the last 24 hours, noting that these included 3,000 armed rebels.

Reuters has in the meantime reported gunshots from the area of evacuation.
