Turkish police denied permission for the press release and sit-in act of prisoners’ families in front of Diyarbakýr E Type Prison. Families have been blockaded and forcibly tried to be sent away from the area.

Families of prisoners were attacked by police on Tuesday as they gathered in front of Diyarbakýr Prison to support the hunger strike started by Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) and Kurdistan Women’s Liberation Party (PAJK) prisoners on September 12.

Tension continues in front of the prison.
