Brother of Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan, Mehmet Öcalan is on its way to İmralı island prison together with the families of the other prisoners there. As the families were waiting to board the ferry to the prison, Mehmet Öcalan, answered some questions. "Many things have changed from last month to today according to the media - said Mehmet Öcalan - but in reality not much has changed. For the past to years these people have not been granted visit from their lawyers. These people have legal right like any other prisoners. Yet their lawyers are not able to talk and see them".

The families, said Mehmet Öcalan, ask once again to the government to respect "our family members rights and allow them to see their solicitors".
