The remains of 8 guerrillas have been held in the morgue of the State Hospital of Şırnak for 20 days despite DNA tests had already been performed.

The families of the 8 guerrillas have applied to take the remains but they have been told that they can’t get them as the "DNA test is not available".

The family of the martyred guerrilla Şilan Polat, living in Yüksekova, in Hakkari, has been forced to give a statement to the police twice so far in Şırnak, where they came to identify the remains.

The families' request for identifying the bodies was rejected and families have been told that “even in case of identification” they would not have been “delivered the remains.”
