FEDA: Turkey has committed blatant crimes against humanity

“The aerial attack against an area under United Nations control is a blatant crime against humanity according to international laws of warfare, committed in front of the world to see.”

The Democratic Alevi Federation (FEDA) condemned the Turkish state attack against Makhmur and Shengal on Thursday and stated that Turkey has committed blatant crimes against humanity. 

FEDA issued a written statement and said, “The attack that took place in front of the whole world and the United Nations to see targeted living areas of mostly women and children.”

The statement added: “The aerial attack against an area under United Nations control is a blatant crime against humanity according to international laws of warfare, committed in front of the world to see.”

FEDA offered condolences to people of Makhmur and the Yazidi people and called on intellectuals, democrats, revolutionaries and all of humanity to raise the struggle against the crimes against oppressed peoples and to defend human dignity.
