Heavy fighting that erupted in Sinaa neighborhood east of Raqqa today afternoon continues with intensity. Reports from the ground suggest that several ISIS members have been killed during clashes, while the exact number is not clear yet, and many arms and munitions were seized from the gangs.

YPG-led Syrian Democratic Forces have cleared three neighborhoods of ISIS gangs since the launch of the 'Great Battle' for Raqqa one week ago.

SDF fighters launched an operation from the east and west of the city towards ISIS positions last night. Following clashes on two fronts, the fighters entered Sinaa neighborhood in the east and Hattîn neighborhood in the west Monday morning, and clashes continue in both locations since.
