Fifty-five arrested in operation against KESK
Fifty five people have been arrested so far in the scope of the operation against the Confederation of Public Workers' Unions (KESK) which was carried out in 28 cities on 19 February. Around 150 people had been taken into custody in the operation.
31 out of 54 people detained in Istanbul have been remanded in custody, while six were released and imposed a ban on leaving the country.
Nine out of 13 others who were detained in Bursa, Balıkesir, Kütahya and Çanakkale have also been sent to prison.
Among 13 people who were detained in Malatya, Sivas and Dersim, six were arrested and four others released so far.
Nine others were arrested and 22 released in Ankara where 31 people had been taken into custody in the operation.
One nurse and three teachers detained in the operation in Antalya have been released.
13 out of 15 detainees in İzmir were released, while the other two were referred to court, demanded to be arrested.
