Five people have been remanded in custody in the province of Van for allegedly being members of an illegal organization.

Following the raids by anti-terror branch of police headquarters, police took six people into custody in the districts of Özalp and Saray two days ago. After being referred to a court, five among them were remanded in custody and sent to Van F Type Closed Prison. The names of the detainees are Fatih Keleş, Emin Dağgezen, Haluk Şahin, Hacı Şahin and Mehmet Döner.

On the other hand, police have released nine children who had been taken into custody in the neighborhood of Hacıbekir (Xaçort) following the mass rally BDP (Peace and Democracy Party) organized to mark the World Peace Day on Sunday.
