Police forces are carrying out an expansive house-raid operation in Kızıltepe district of Mardin which witnessed violent clashes and deaths after local Islamist groups supporting ISIS attacked demonstrators and Kurds who staged mass demos in solidarity with the Kobanê resistance and in protest against the attacks of inhumane ISIS gangs on Kobanê.

Many people were taken into custody during the last four days of conflict in the district.

Police have detained five brothers as part of the operation which started late in the evening, coming soon after the mass demos against ISIS gangs.

The detainees were taken to Kızıltepe police station for interrogation.
