Five people have been taken into custody as a result of house-raids in Özalp district of Van early this morning.

A number of houses in the neighborhoods of İstasyon, Karkalı, Cumhuriyet and Sugeçer were raided in the operation which has reportedly targeted those who participated protest demonstrations against the attacks of ISIS gangs on the Kobanê town of West Kurdistan, Rojava, bordering the Suruç district of Urfa.

Detainees have been taken to the district police headquarters.
