Five seasonal workers from Kobanê arrested in Adana

Five seasonal workers from Kobanê have been arrested in the Turkish province of Adana on terror charges.

In the southern province of Adana, five seasonal workers have been arrested in a military police operation. The men from Kobanê in northern Syria are accused of "membership in the PKK/KCK/PYD/YPG," as Turkish security authorities put it. Turkish officials claim that they had come to Adana to carry out propaganda for their organization.

The arrest operation occurred on Monday in the Karataş district. Units of the gendarmerie (military police) stormed the tent city of the harvesters in the Tuzla neighborhood and searched the accommodation of the five Kurds from Kobanê. In the operation, several private items were confiscated, including cell phones and a laptop.

The interrogation of the men, whose identities are currently unknown, has not yet been completed. They are expected to be transferred to a court later today.
