Five soldiers died and fifteen others were wounded in clashes between Turkish military and People’s Defense Forces (HPG) guerrillas on Sunday. Clashes reportedly broke out during Turkish army operation in the region of Derecik(Rubarok) in Hakkari’s Þemdinli district.

On the other hand, separate clashes broke out in the rural areas of Bingöl’s Genç district on Sunday. According to People’s Defense Forces Press Office HGP-BIM, one guerrilla, Memyan Botan code-named Mustafa Özer from Siirt, lost his life in clashes.
