The European Democratic Forces Association stated that the declining AKP-MHP is trying to regain power using the coup debate. "All opposition forces are in the crosshairs" said the statement, calling for a joint fight.
The European Democratic Forces Union said in a written statement today that "Turkey is waking up with a new attack every day. The fascist AKP-MHP approves new laws which are targeting people, especially the opposition."
The statement added: "The government is making a new move every day to try and consolidate its strength."
The statement underlined that the government is targeting opposition in any possible way and the latest debate about the coup is yet another proof of this.
The statement, which emphasized that Erdogan was following Hitler's footsteps, also protested the targeting of Author Ragıp Zarakolu.
The European Democratic Forces Association called on all democratic forces in Europe to take a stand against these attacks and unite to carry out a common struggle.
