Four people, including Newroz Organization Committee President Talip Yıldırım, have been taken into custody during Newroz celebrations in Erzurum.

Clashes broke out during the celebration as a group of fascists attacked the mass in the Newroz area.

Following the police intervention in the mass, the celebration was interrupted and people in the area started to march to the neighborhood of Mahalle Başı.

Police also attacked shopkeepers when they protested the police silence against the attack of the fascist group. Three people were injured when police threw tear gas in a coffee house, breaking the glasses of the building. Shopkeepers closed their shops in protest against the attitude of police teams.

The mass is waiting in front of BDP (Peace and Democracy Party) building.
