‘Freedom for Öcalan Committee’ convenes in Rome

During the meeting in Rome, the ‘Freedom for Öcalan Committee’ kicked off works for the new term.

The ‘Freedom for Öcalan Committee’ held a meeting in the Ararat Kurdish Cultural Center in Rome on Sunday.

During the meeting, where the committee kicked off works for the news term, a short film dedicated to the Kurdish leader was screened.

A number of politicians and academics attended the meeting online, including ‘The Time Has Come, Freedom for Öcalan Committee’ Spokesperson Giovanni Russospene, Havin Güneşer from the ‘International Freedom for Öcalan – Peace in Kurdistan Campaign’, COSATU Western Cape provincial organiser Poul Bester, UNITE the UNION International Director Simon Dubbins, Baronessa Christina from the Workers’ Party of Britain, Freedom for Öcalan Committee member Amedeo Chiacchieri. Representatives of UIKI and Kurdish Council in Rome also attended the meeting.

Speakers expressed their demand for the freedom of Abdullah Öcalan.
