Freedom for Öcalan enters week 630

Activists in the Freedom for Öcalan said: "Our struggle will continue until the freedom of our leader is achieved."

The Freedom for Öcalan Vigil, which was launched in Strasbourg on 25 June 2012, with the aim of achieving the physical freedom of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan and ending the Imrali torture system, continues with determination.

The action, which is carried out every week by groups of Kurds living in Europe and their friends, has entered its 630th week. A group of activists from Saarbrücken took over the vigil this week.

Hasan Torî, Lîlav Şêxahmed and Agit Kaplan will be at the vigil for a week on behalf of the Democratic Kurdish Society Center.

The action, which continues at the point where European institutions meet, is visited by Kurdish people living in Europe every day.

The members of France’s Saint-Avold Democratic Kurdish Community Center visited the vigil this week. Sezai Keskin and Serkan Topçu said: "Our struggle will continue until the freedom of our leader is achieved."
