French senators protest Turkish attacks

24 senators in the French Senate held a demonstration with banners containing different messages to protest the Turkish state's attacks on Northern and Eastern Syria and the chemical attacks on Kurdish Freedom Guerrillas.

24 French parliamentarians came together from different political groups in the French Senate organized an action in favor of the Kurds.

The action drew attention to the attacks carried out by the Turkish state against Northern and Eastern Syria, and the French senators called for an urgent international delegation to investigate the chemical weapons attacks in Bashur Kurdistan.

The senators held banners with the messages "Chemical weapon: Start an urgent investigation", "Stop Erdogan", "Peace for Northern and Eastern Syria" and "Solidarity with the Kurdish people".

On 1 December, four senators from different political groups held a press conference in the French Senate, protesting the Turkish state's air strikes on Northern and Eastern Syria, and calling on France to prevent a possible land invasion operation. In the same press conference, the Senators said that they would send a delegation to the region next January.

Last July, under the leadership of Senator Laurence Cohen, a joint call was issued, signed by 102 senators, to declare the airspace of Northern and Eastern Syria a no-fly zone.
