From Cyprus to Finland: Stop the assault on Rojava

Demos against Turkish attempt of invasion of Northern and Eastern Syria were held in Paphos (Cyprus), Helsinki and La Rochelle.

PAPHOS

The Turkish state attempts to occupy Northern and Eastern Syria were protested in Paphos, Cyprus.

Activists organised a march, which was attended by hundreds of people, to Marina Square.

The massacres carried out by the Turkish state using chemical weapons were condemned by activists and Green Party members who joined the march.

HELSINKI

An action was held in Helsinki and saw the participation of hundreds of people.

5 people were injured in the scuffles which erupted after the police tried to prevent the crowd from marching. Eventually the people marched to the Finnish Parliament.

LA ROCHELLE

Kurds and their friends gathered in La Rochelle, Western France, to protest the Turkish state invasion attacks.

French Communist Party, France Insoumis, Mouvement de la Paix and Vieux Port de la Rochelle actively supported the march that started at Place de Gabut.

In the speeches made during the march it was recalled that "the world owes to the Kurds and should act to stop the war immediately."
