Tribes in al-Zêdi region 45 km east of Girê Spî, Rojava have announced their establishment of Fursan al-Jazîra Brigades and participation in the ranks of Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

The ceremony marking the establishment of Fursan al-Jazîra Brigades was attended by Girê Spî Autonomous Administration Co-President Hamdan al-Abid, TEV-DEM executive Umer Eluş, and Arab and Turkmen opinion leaders from Zêdi and Girê Spî regions.

The statement made here said that Fursan al-Jazîra Brigades have been established as a mission of patriotism and will join the SDF ranks to fight against terror and protect their lands.

The statement remarked that locals that want to fight terror could join the ranks of Fursan al-Jazîra Brigades.
