Gang groups attack Kurdish neighborhoods in Aleppo
Al-Qaeda affiliated ISIL (Islamic State of Iraq and Sham) gangs attacked Kurdish neighborhoods in the region of Bab in Aleppo city on Tuesday evening.
After attacking the villages of Til Betal, Qelbin and Tiwine, ISIL groups looted the houses of the people and abducted many civilians.
It is also reported that the gang groups have surrounded the Til Şehir, Qubet El-Şeyh and Sosrumat villages in the same region, and are preparing to attack these villages.
The Kurdish people in the region are concerned over probable massacre and detention of more Kurds by the gang groups.
Gang groups have increased their attacks against civilians in recent weeks during which they have suffered heavy defeats in clashes with YPG (People's Defense Units) fighters.
On 7 December, ISIS had launched another attack targeting the Cib El-Ferec village, which is located 30 km south of Kobanê, where one villager was killed and some members of the same family were kidnapped by gang groups.
Al-Qaeda affiliated groups are also trying to cut off water supply in the Al Siyox village and to leave the people here without water.
Reports obtained from local sources say that gang groups attacked the Kurdish neighborhoods in Jarablus region of Aleppo province on 8 December evening. Gang groups reportedly abducted many civilians who included women and children as well.
On 4 December, ISIS and the al-Nusra Front attacked the village of Minbci between Kobanê (Ayn al-Arab) and Jarablus, taking hostage dozens of civilians, women and children amongst them, also looting houses belonging to Kurds in Minbic and surrounding villages. Armed gangs have also set up a road block on the road between Kobanê and Jarablus, abducting more than 50 Kurdish civilians from vehicles. The abducted civilians are still being held hostage by the al-Qaeda linked gangs.
The districts of Azzaz, Bab and Jarablus of Aleppo province house a large number of Kurds, Arabs and Turkmens. Dozens of Kurdish neighborhoods in the mentioned region are currently facing the risk of imminent attacks by radical gang groups.
