Gangs abduct 53 Kurds in Efrin

Armed groups linked to the Islamic State in Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS) yesterday abducted 50 Kurds from Efrin travelling to Damascus. The gangs stopped a bus carrying Kurds from the village of Jandaris, near Afrin, close to Damascus, and took 50 Kurds hostage. Nothing is known regarding the whereabouts of those abducted.   

Three Kurdish civilians were also abducted in Daret Azze near Aleppo. Relatives of the three, named as Ferhad Xalid, Mihemed Ferid and Givara Hesen, registered in the Basute village of Sharawa district in Afrin, say the three have been taken to the village of Al Dana near the town of Idlib.

Nothing has been heard regarding the fate of Mihemed Hebib, also from Basute village, who was abducted by armed groups a month ago.

Some civilians abducted by armed groups along with 4 buses belonging to the Kelas company in Afrin 4 months ago have been released, while the whereabouts of the others is not known
