German Left Party in solidarity with YPG against Erdoğan’s war

A huge YPG flag was hanged on the headquarters of DIE LINKE in protest at the Erdoğan regime’s attacks against Rojava.

The opposition Left Party of Germany (DIE LINKE) addressed a call to the Federal German government that continues to provide weapons for the Erdoğan regime in the scope of an uninterrupted cooperation with the Turkish state despite strong opposition and public reaction.

The Left Party hanged a huge banner on the facade of its headquarters, publicly known as ‘Karl-Liebknecht-Haus’, which read “Stop German support for Erdoğan’s war – For freedom!”.

The banner also depicted a huge flag of the YPG, the armed defense force of Rojava that have mounted relentless resistance to the Turkish state’s genocidal offensive against North-East Syria which has been continuing since October 9.

The Left Party which has 69 seats in the German Parliament has repeatedly urged the German government led by Angela Merkel to suspend all political, military and economic relations with the Turkish state since the launch of Turkey’s operation seeking to invade the region.
