It's that time again: The Initiative for Peace and Hope in Kurdistan e.V. has started its annual gift campaign for children and young people in Maxmur, in Shengal and, this year, also in Rojava. "We have been able to successfully implement our gift campaign three years in a row thanks to your generous and heartfelt participation and to give thousands of children in Kurdistan a smile together. We are very happy to announce the start of this year's gift campaign," says the Bielefeld initiative.

Give a smile with 25 euros

In recent years, the initiative has organized the transport of thousands of lovingly packed backpacks to the region. This year, however, no donations in kind can be accepted, so a monetary donation of 25 euros per backpack is requested instead.

“The background to these changes is, among other things, the massive increase in

transportation costs. With a donation of 25 euros this year, you also make it possible for the purchases to be made in the regions and thus support local dealers and the local economy. This enables us to save high transport costs and, in return, to reach more children with backpacks. Furthermore, we can extend our gift campaign to Rojava, where we have not been able to transport anything until now. In Rojava, your donation will help children and young people who have been orphaned as a result of the war", explains the initiative.
