The Turkish regime has been introducing further bans to counter the crowds taking to the streets to reclaim the municipalities of Diyarbakır, Mardin and Van which were usurped from the HDP on August 19.
The Governorate of Mardin has announced a ban on any and all activities and events in the city for a month.
The ban is the second one introduced by Mardin Governorate after the AKP regime’s seizure of the HDP-run metropolitan municipality on August 19 through the removal of elected co-mayors and appointment of the governor as trustee to take over the administration of the municipality.
