Interior minister Ýdris Naim Þahin said three people have died in the explosion which occurred in Ankara this morning.
Ankara's governor, Alaaddin Yüksel spoke to journalists about the explosion which occurred in the capital this morning.
His statement was short and related to the injured in the explosion. He said 15 people have been taken to hospital and 5 had to undergo surgery.
As to the cause of the explosion the governor has said it would be too early to speculate.
The blast needs to be investigated, he added, "and police are doing precisely this".
