Green Left Party in Hakkari wants to send 3 deputies to Ankara

HDP Hakkari Provincial co-chair Hümeyra Armut said that with the Green Left Party, they aim to get 100 percent of the votes in the city and send 3 deputies to the parliament.

Hakkari (Colemêrg) is the stronghold of the Kurdish Political Movement and is determined to achieve a great result with the Green Left Party in the 14 May elections. The people of Hakkari have never spared their support for the Kurdish political movement that started with the HEP in 1990 and continues with the Green Left Party today.

The party says it is confident to send 3 of the 3 deputies eligible to the parliament.

The Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Hakkari Provincial co-chair Hümeyra Armut said that the city sends 3 deputies and underlined that they will win the 3.

Armut said: "We will get all 3 deputies from Hakkari and send them to the parliament. The Green Left Party will bring back the old spirit of Hakkari and will be an answer to the trustee system imposed on the city and this fascist order. We will not let a single vote to the AKP here. We know that we will send our 3 deputies to Ankara."

Call to young people

Making a call to the young people, Armut said: “We call on young people to be personally involved in the election work until 14 May. Young people’s votes are important. Our young members should explain the program of the Green Left Party and why the HDP did not enter the elections."

Elections critical for women and Kurds

Democratic Regions Party (DBP) Hakkari Provincial co-chair Sipan Turan said that the 14 May elections is a critical election for Kurds and women.

She said: “Women and Kurds will again be the determinants of this election. In this sense, as young women, we struggle to ensure maximum results. Women want to change the current government. We can feel the role of young women in the electoral work.”
