Hakkari privatize rubbish department

Hakkari Municipality has privatized the department of garbage which has become a major problem in the city especially in recent years. The privatization will work for a six-month trial period.

The tender of the privatization, which was made last week at Hakkari Municipality with the participation of nine companies, was won by ENKA Cleaning Industry and Trade Limited Company.

Making a statement after the signing ceremony, Hakkari Mayor Fadýl Bedirhanoðlu said the followings; "As is known, Hakkari has an important garbage problem which we, as Hakkari Municipality, have tried to work out in recent years and solved to some extend. However, we privatized the garbage department with the intention of a more quality municipalism and a much cleaner city. We had some concerns while joining this tender and we have an idea about the possible difficulties we could face but we promised to make this city cleaner and we are asking for the support and help of our people to get a better result."

The ENKA Company will start workings next Friday and give a service with 11 vehicles and 43 staff members.
