Democratic Union of Forces held a rally in Austrian capital Vienna with the slogan “Hands off the will of the people, hands off my deputy”.

The protesters gathered in front of the Austrian Ministry of the Interior building and first held a minute’s silence for the revolutionary martyrs of Kurdistan and the world.

The statement read by the Democratic Union of Forces says the AKP fascism is imposing a political genocide on the peoples, the Alevi faith and the workers and continued: “This monist and massacrist system that committed atrocious genocides on the Alevis in Dersim, Maraş and Sivas is doing the same thing in Sur, Silopi, Cizre, Hakkari to the Kurdish people again. They are trying to ban HDP, the voice of 6 million voters, from the parliament and they are testing a civil war with settling ISIS barbarians in Alevi areas under the guise of refugees.”

Flyers in German were distributed and several attending organisations gave speeches and people chanted “Murderer Erdoğan”, “Murderer Turkey”, “Bijî HDP”, “Long live the revolutionary fight of the peoples”.
