HBDH militias destroy a base station in Mersin

HBDH’s Cebrail Günebakan Militias reported that they carried out a sabotage action against a base station in Mersin in response to the Suruç massacre.

Cebrail Günebakan Militias of the Peoples' United Revolutionary Movement (HBDH) released a written statement detailing a sabotage action they carried out on a base station in Mersin in response to the Suruç massacre that claimed the lives of 33 young people and left over a hundred people injured.

“The base station which caught fire following the action carried out at night on July 24 was rendered completely unusable,” the statement by HBDH militia said.

“The head of the fascist state was announcing good news to his supporters when he said that Kobanê was about to fall after the ISIS attack. However, Kobanê did not fall! ISIS was defeated and removed from Rojava, and Kobanê remains standing as the Stalingrad of the Rojava Revolution. Enraged by that, they brutally attacked our young people who sought to take humanitarian aid to Kobanê. They killed thirty-three young comrades, and more than 100 of our people were left injured and disabled in Suruç. The perpetrators of the massacre were ISIS members, but those who gave the order were the top officials of the fascist state,” the statement said.

“They did not only want to avenge Kobanê with this massacre. They also wanted to intimidate our people. They wanted no one to take to the streets to protest. Yet, they failed. Workers and the poor are seeking their rights, organizing actions and carrying the flag of the united revolution everywhere. Formed from the heart of our working people, our united revolutionary militias are challenging the fascist state everywhere and bringing those responsible for massacres to account.”
