On the morning of May 3, HBDH militia targeted the Amed/Sehitlik District Police Department with a stun grenade.
Following the actions, the militias returned to their base safely, said the HBDH statement, which further included the following:
“Our actions were organized to prove that we will continue to target the fascist Turkish regime that has invaded our country and to support the 'Defend Kurdistan' campaign launched against the invasion operation started by the Turkish army on April 17.
We will continue to chase the fascist state, the invaders, and the torturer police! They will not be allowed to walk freely on our land. Just like our comrade Eriş, one of the heroes of the Sur Resistance and after whom we are named, we will deal major blows to the enemy. We vow that the enemy will become afraid of its own shadow!
We promised that 'We will destroy fascism; we will win freedom'. We will never stop until we achieve this goal!”
