HDP co-chairs Pervin Buldan and Mithat Sancar and Green Left Party co-spokespersons Çiğdem Kılıçgün and İbrahim Akın issued a message to wish everyone a good Eid al-Adha (Feast of Sacrifice) and to express their desire that the feast bring equality and freedom.

The message is as follows: "We celebrate the Feast of Sacrifice with our peoples, hoping that it will lead to freedom and peace.

Unfortunately, we welcome Eid al-Adha in the shadow of major social problems, deepening economic and political crises, poverty, inequality and multifaceted attacks on society, especially the Kurdish people.

However, we can bring the feast to its true meaning. We can recreate our social existence based on the principles of solidarity, sharing and liberation. Working to create the life we dream of without war, exploitation and freedom, is our reason for struggling. On this occasion, we wish Eid al-Adha to bring equality, freedom and peace. Happy holiday to our people and the peoples of the Middle East."
