HDP appeals to the YSK to prevent violations in Urfa

Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) has appealed to the Supreme Election Board (YSK) to inspect violations in various voting stations in Urfa.

HDP issued a statement and said, "Our party's YSK Representative Pınar Akdemir has appealed to the YSK for the inspection and prevention of violations in the Suruç Yukarı Bostancı Elementary School, Suruç Hürriyet Elementary School, Suruç Süleyman Şah Middle School, Suruç Anadolu High School, Suruç Gap Anadolu High School, Suruç Atatürk Elementary School and Suruç Anadolu Religious High School.

In the petition submitted to the YSK (Supreme Board of Elections), Akdemir stated that armed groups threatened voters, there were instances of mass voting and that HDP's witnesses and ballot officers were battered.

Akdemir said, "Ballot Council Members and witnesses have concerns regarding issuing necessary objections due to possible attacks against their bodily integrity. For this reason, the issue must urgently be inspected and intervened with."

HDP demands the YSK take necessary steps to prevent all provocations.
