HDP co-chair: Government seeks to take revenge with the Kobanê trial which is a plot

HDP co-chair Mithat Sancar defined the Kobanê Trial as a plot case, saying, "We will save this country from this corrupt government, we have the power to do so because we take sides with the truth.”

Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) co-chair Mithat Sancar made a statement in front of the Sincan Prison Campus where the Kobanê Trial against 108 politicians 28 of whom are jailed, is taking place. Sancar stressed that the Kobanê Trial is a plot through which the government seeks to take revenge.

“There are hundreds of additional folders and all these are said to have been examined by the court within three days. They could complete the reading in nine days if they worked 24 hours a day, without eating or drinking, day and night. Yet, the court board claims that it has read the entire indictment within three days. We know that the court board did not read this indictment. We also know where this indictment was prepared. This indictment has been prepared at the dark centres of the government," he said.

'BIAS AGAINST HDP'

The HDP co-chair continued, “The evidences are listed but most of the evidences is not included in the indictment. The court board is not only biased but also acting against the law. The court board is committing a crime, as well as those who instruct the court. What really needs to be prosecuted is what the government did in 2014. It is those who prepared this plot case that should be judged. They will give an account in a fair trial one day.”

'WE MUST CHANGE THIS CORRUPT REGIME'

Indicating the latest video messages and confessions of the Turkish ultra-nationalist and mafia boss Sedat Peker about criminal entanglements of the state, Sancar said, “While the most serious crimes in Turkey have been unfolded in various aspects in recent days, no prosecutor is taking any action. However, lawsuits are brought against the HDP and the Kurdish people with groundless allegations, demanding heavy sentences. Kurdish enmity and the HDP underlie the corruption in the political and legal system in Turkey. No development is independent from another. We must definitely change this corrupt regime.”

Sancar concluded, “The plot trial against the HDP is carried out to cover up the billions stolen from the citizens. As long as we do pull this cover, we can see neither the reality of the mafia state order nor the consequences of the plundering and robbery economy. Our friends will reveal this during the trial. They will judge the political power, this rotten order. In fact, they have already started to do this strongly. As the trial progresses, they will reveal the truths stronger and more comprehensively. And we will save this country from this corrupt government, we have the power to do so because we take sides with the truth.”
