The Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Central Executive Committee issue a written statement regarding the attack carried out by ISIS mercenaries in Maxmur Camp.

The HDP said: "On Sunday ISIS mercenaries attacked Maxmur Camp, which is under embargo by the Kurdistan Regional Government. One person was killed in the attacks while 3 others were injured."

The statement continued: "This attack is a warning bell and it confirms that ISIS is still a threat. ISIS was defeated by the SDF in North and East Syria, but has been brought back to life by Turkey's invasion attempt towards North and East Syria."

HDP stressed that: "This attack is also a revenge attack on the Kurds that ISIS sees as an obstacle to spread into the world. Even though ISIS is responsible for the attack on Maxmur, it is the regional forces that have given ISIS a living space and targeted Kurds to actually have a responsibility."

Call

The HDP issued the following call: "This attack gives clues that sleeper ISIS cells can act in an organized manner. We call on all parties struggling against ISIS to focus on fighting ISIS again, to take the necessary steps before this organization is revived. "
