HDP delegation meets CHP leader and officials

Representatives of both parties are of the same mind that the appointment of trustees to HDP municipalities is indeed a political coup.

A delegation headed by HDP (Peoples’ Democratic Party) Co-chair Sezai Temelli met CHP (Republican People’s Party) officials, reported HDP Press Office on Monday.

The HDP delegation also included HDP Parliamentary Deputy Chair Mithat Sancar, Group Deputy Chair Fatma Kurtulan and General Vice Co-president Alican Önlü.

According to the HDP Press Office statement, the HDP delegation met CHP Leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, CHP Group Deputy Chair Engin Özkoç, General Vice President Oğuz Kaan Salıcı and Party Spokesman Faik Öztrak.

The statement said the meeting discussed many topics including the seizure of HDP-run municipalities in Diyarbakır, Van and Mardin, the democratic alliance, new constitution and legal reform.

HDP said representatives of both parties were of the same mind that the appointment of trustees to HDP municipalities is indeed a political coup.

The HDP statement added; “Emphasis was laid on the importance of a determined common stance for democratic principles and values. The meeting was productive and the value of being in consultation and in a search for a solution for all major problems of the country was highlighted.”
