Michele Nicoletti, President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), received a delegation from the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP).

HDP İzmir MP Ertuğrul Kürkçü, HDP Mardin MP Prof. Mithat Sancar and HDP representative for the Council of Europe, Fayık Yağızay attended the meeting where they talked about the situation of HDP deputies in jail, repression against the HDP, the upcoming elections in Turkey, ongoing State of Emergency (OHAL), victims of statutory decrees and latest developments in Turkey.

During the meeting, HDP delegation highlighted their expectation from the PACE to monitor the situation, especially in the election process, and to manifest a more positive and more influential attitude towards the urgent matters on the agenda.
