A delegation of the HDP (Peoples' Democratic Party) has returned from Kandil where they held a meeting with KCK (Kurdistan Communities Union) executives as part of the democratic resolution process launched with the initiative of Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan in March 2013.

The delegation, made up of HDP Group Deputy Chairs Pervin Buldan and İdris Baluken and HDP Deputy Co-President Sırrı Süreyya Önder, went to Kandil yesterday and had a meeting with KCK executives.

The HDP delegation's visit to Kandil came after unprecedented protest demonstrations that erupted and spread across North Kurdistan and Turkey on 6 October as tens of thousands poured out into the streets against the ongoing attacks of ISIS gangs on the Kobanê town of West Kurdistan, Rojava.
