HDP former Amed MP Baluken released from prison

HDP former Amed MP Idris Baluken completed his sentence and was released from Sincan Prison.

Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) former Amed MP Idris Baluken was released from prison after completing his execution. Baluken, who was jailed on 4 November 2016 while he was HDP group deputy chair, was tried in Diyarbakır 8th High Criminal Court and sentenced to 9 years and 2 months in prison. Baluken was released from prison after the verdict of release given at the hearing held on 30 January 2017. However, upon the objection of the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, Baluken was arrested again on 21 February 2017, just 22 days after being freed, and sent to prison.

Baluken, who completed his sentence, was released from Sincan Prison after 6 years, 5 months and 1 day.
