HDP Headquarters in Ankara under police blockade

The headquarters of the HDP remains under police blockade since the detention of Co-chairs and deputies last night.

Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Co-chairs and 9 deputies were taken into custody in a large-scale operation last night.

Within the scope of the operation, police also raided the HDP headquarters in Turkish capital Ankara and attacked the HDP deputies and members inside. HDP Group Deputy Chair İdris Baluken was taken into custody during the crackdown here. Police later blocked all the roads leading to the building with barricades.

Even the party members and deputies are not allowed access to the building amid intense measures and mobilization by police forces in large numbers.
