HDP organizations protest the conspiracy, salute the prison resistance in Turkey

Protests against the international conspiracy against the Kurdish People's Leader continue. Masses emphasized that the conspiracy is still continuing and called on the public to raise concern over the prison resistance.

Protests were organised in many cities of Turkey to condemn the international conspiracy against Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan which led to his abduction from Kenya to Turkey on February 15, 1999.

VAN

The international conspiracy was protested by the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Provincial Organization in Van. Many party members of parliament were present during the press statement made in the party building.

HDP Van Deputy Muazzez Orhan described the international conspiracy as "the first step of intervention in the Middle East". She stated that the isolation policy against Öcalan was put into effect in Imrali as a continuation of the conspiracy.

Orhan noted that the conspiracy has been updated with the pressure on the Kurds and the attacks against North-East Syria today.

Drawing attention to the ongoing hunger strikes in Turkey’s prisons against isolation, Orhan said, "This voice rising in prisons is against injustice and lawlessness. The call of political prisoners is a call for freedom. It is a call for rights and justice."

Orhan continued: "Struggle against Öcalan’s isolation is a struggle to save the country from the crisis. We condemn all attack policies developed against the will of our people and on this basis, we state that we will expand the struggle. "

The statement ended with the slogans "Bê Serok jiyan nabe” (No life without the leader).

 AĞRI

The international conspiracy was also protested in Doğubayazıt district of Ağrı. Many people attended the event organized by the HDP District Organization in the party building. HDP District Co-Chair Abdullah Ekelik stated that the isolation has spread from Imrali to the whole country.

ADANA

HDP Adana Provincial Organization made a statement at the party's building to protest the international conspiracy. HDP Provincial Co-chair Gülseren Tural spoke while a banner saying "We curse the international conspiracy on February 15" was opened. Tural said that, “The February 15 conspiracy is essentially a comprehensive plan which was developed against the co-existence of the peoples of Turkey and the region".

MERSİN

Another protest against the international conspiracy took place at the HDP Mersin Provincial Organization building. HDP Provincial co-chair Mehmet Alış said that the conspiratorial forces do not want to resolve the fundamental problems of the people in Turkey and the Middle East, particularly the Kurdish issue.
