HDP’s Demirtaş denied newspaper with his own interview

HDP’s presidential candidate Selahattin Demirtaş has not been given the newspaper that published an interview with him.

Selahattin Demirtaş, the presidential candidate of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) who is held hostage since November 2016, has been denied the Turkish daily Birgün on the grounds of an interview with him published by the newspaper.

Last week, Demirtaş said even articles about his mother are censored: “Some pages of the Cumhuriyet newspaper weren’t given to me because they have a photograph of me and my mother together and some comments by her.
