HDP Van MP Murat Sarısaç said: “The illegitimate government has lost all claim. They and their impositions are not valid.”

HDP MP Murat Sarısaç said the AKP has consumed itself and the party and its impositions are not valid. He added that they will grow the resistance against the trustee occupations.
HDP Van MP Murat Sarısaç spoke to the ANF about the trustee occupations.
“IT IS CLEAR THAT THEY CANNOT GOVERN ANYMORE”
Sarısaç said AKP’s statements before the March 31 elections showed that they were engaged in an all-out attack against Kurds, and continued:
“AKP has been in power for 18 years, and they came to power first through promises to solve the Kurdish issue and to end corruption and irregularity in Turkey.
They pushed the country into chaos, and a political dead-end. In this chaotic atmosphere, it is clear that they cannot govern Turkey anymore. And ultimately it became clear that the AKP, having started its hold on power with the Istanbul Municipality 25 years ago, cannot rule over Turkey anymore after 25 years, that they will create chaos. As such, we knew very well that if the AKP continued down this path, there would be trustee appointments and even the cancellation of the parliament, and society in Turkey would be left unable to express themselves, trapped in their homes, isolated.”
“ONLY A COMPLETELY DEPLETED POLITICAL UNDERSTANDING CAN DO THIS”
Sarısaç remarked that they were aware of the threat of trustees, “But what we couldn’t fathom was that they would go about doing it without any kind of basis whatsoever, with such disregard. Only a completely consumed and depleted political understanding could do such a thing.”
The HDP MP continued:
“Trustees were appointed in 2016, there was a ‘coup’ back then, a concept of war had been enacted. Among their own base, among the people who voted for them and brought them to power, they still had some ground. They were legitimizing their acts through the dirty politics of demagogues. With the immoral understanding of propaganda, they created an air over Turkey’s public. But looking at things now, there are criticisms even in their own party. A man like Davutoglu, who had the biggest share of the responsibility in the Sur massacre, who was PM when the academics for peace were put on trial, even he is criticizing the trustees today.”
“WE WILL BE ON THE STREETS EVERY DAY”
“The Kurds have been under attack by this tyrannical state for a century now, all their rights denied and eliminated,” said Sarısaç: “This elimination is not just physical, they try to destroy cultural, social and political elements. Kurds have continued this struggle for forty years, with a heavy price paid. There are virtually no households left that don’t have arrested, imprisoned family members. The police target people, like the child who was shot in the head by the police while sitting at a park in the middle of the day. People were shot at from a Panzer tank in Gever, panzers entered houses in Şırnak.”
Sarısaç said a political party abusing the power they derived from the people for their own interests while disregarding the people shows that said party has no legitimacy left: “It is natural for all circles in society to protest an illegitimate government, and they do. We will be on the streets every day, until this trustee mindset is gone.”
HDP Van MP Murat Sarısaç concluded: “The illegitimate government has lost all claim. They and their impositions are not valid.”
