Health conditions of 10 prisoners on hunger strike in Siirt E Type Closed Prison are reported to be deteriorating.
Ten Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) and Kurdistan Women’s Liberation Party (PAJK) prisoners who have been on indefinite-irreversible hunger strike since September 12 are reported to be suffering from stomach upset, low and high blood pressure, nosebleed, blackout, high fever with chills and dizziness. On the other hand, 20 Kurdish people have started a three-day hunger strike in the German city of Hamburg yesterday in order to support the hunger strikes going on in Turkish prisons for one month and to condemn the isolation of Kurdish people’s leader Abdullah Öcalan.
The strike will end on Saturday with a march to condemn the 9 October conspiracy against Öcalan. Following the march, demonstrators will hold a rally in front of the Damtor Prison where Kurdish politician Ali Ýhsan Kýtay has been jailed.
